Leah loves the zoo. We go to the zoo a lot in the spring and fall. We even go in the winter if it is a mild day. But the summer can be very hot and I don't like to take Max out in the heat with him being so young. But we did luck out one day during the last week of July. It was a cooler morning - well, not necessarily cooler - but there was no humidity and it was mostly cloudy. Pat was working a band camp, so I packed the kids up and we headed to the zoo.
We were not the only ones who thought it was a perfect zoo day. I love the zoo - but they need to come up with a better parking plan. After about 45 minutes of waiting in traffic, we made it. We had an awesome morning. The animals were all very active, and I think it was the first time the lions were actually not sleeping!
