Apple

Leah loves apples - almost as much as she loves peas. But an apple is her favorite fruit at the moment. Last night Leah asked if she could have an apple and pulled one out of the refrigerator. I told her to her to wait a moment and I would cut it for her once I finished up what I was doing. Well - Leah did not have any patience and decided to just eat the apple on her own, biting through the skin and all! Looks as though she may be an independent and stubborn girl - just like her mother!

Sprout - 28 weeks, 6 days

Yesterday we had an ultrasound - and 'Sprout' is looking good! Sprout was not very cooperative at times, constantly moving around and trying to hide. The tech said that Sprout is weighing in at 3 pounds and 4 ounces and has a lot of hair! We still do not know if Sprout is a boy or a girl, but we think the face looks like a boy! Can't wait to find out in May!

New Piano

Pat's secretary at work told him about someone wanting to get rid of a piano. Turns out, she was going to give it away at no cost - all we had to do was move it ourselves and fix it up. We have always wanted a piano, so we jumped on the offer. So today Pat and a few friends picked up the piano and brought it home. It needs a little work, and a little tuning, but overall, it is perfect! Leah lit up when she saw it while the dog has some seconds thoughts. Leah has some practicing to do, but I think she will be performing in her own concert in a few years.

Fancy Leah

One of Leah's favorite books is Fancy Nancy. I think Leah is starting to be influenced by this book. Last weekend while we were at Grandma and Grandpa Lindsey's home, Grandma introduced Leah to a basket full of bracelets. Well, Leah quickly fell in love with the bracelets - constantly putting them on and taking them off, showing off her jewels to everyone. Once we returned home, I found a few of my bracelets and some of Leah's and put them all in a small box for Leah. Leah especially likes to wear her bracelets all at once. She finds this to be 'very fancy.'

Valentine

We spent the weekend in Cleveland celebrating three birthdays - Christopher, Jamie and mine! Grandma and Grandpa watched 'their girls' while the parents went out to celebrate at Brasa Grill - yum! It was such a fun night - eating meat off of swords! We were finally able to spend some quality time with our new niece, Addison - what a doll! Leah does really well with her. She especially likes to point and say 'Addie' and points to Addie's nose, mouth, eyes, hands and toes. Fortunately, we left early enough Monday to get home - we were able to avoid a 40-car pile up on 71-S - the highway had to be shut down! We came home to a winter wonderland - an additional 7 or so inches. Needless to say - the city of Cincinnati shutdown and we had our 5th snow day on Tuesday (Pat's 4th).

The First Post

Well....we have decided to keep a blog. We thought this would be a good way to keep in touch with friends and family, especially with a new baby on the way! We hope you will visit us often!
