Christmas Eve Traditions

Pat and I had decided a few years ago that we would stay home for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  It is important to us that our children enjoy Santa in their own home on Christmas Day.  So we have started some new traditions!

We made reindeer food (oats and sprinkles)

We made cookies for Santa

We made a Gingerbread House for our table centerpiece

The past couple of years we have also gone to Smith Park for Light Up Middletown - but I was pooped and the kids were starting to get a little crabby.  Perhaps we did too much in one day.

We enjoyed watching Christmas movies and even Santa made a personal appearance on our TV (thanks Uncle Bub!)

Daddy read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas (while Hippa whispered it too) but Max and Noah were a bit wiggly.

We then fed the reindeer, put out cookies, milk and letters for Santa and we were off to bed!

Santa made his deliveries once everyone was asleep...A perfect day of traditions!
