Fall with Family

My parents were in town last weekend - and it was the perfect fall weekend! So of course we had to do all-things-fall. But before we started in with the fall festivities, we took Leah and Max to have their pictures taken - see the next post. After business was taken care of, we headed to the northern part of Lebanon to the Hidden Valley Fruit Farm, a place that Pat and I have been going to for about six years. Leah enjoyed riding on a pony and the caterpillar train ride, and we all went on a hayride throughout the property. We saw bee hives, apple trees and of course, pumpkins! After we headed in-doors looking for apples. My favorite is the Honeycrisp - and unfortunately they are gone for the year. Pat loves the Macouns - and they had plenty. Leah likes them too - she has one just about everyday. Max is content with plain applesauce - next year will be his year to try a real, tasty apple! We then picked out pumpkins and headed home. We went to Flub's in the evening and learned that Flub's was closing until March. We were lucky to go that night! Sunday morning we went to Bern's Garden Center and picked out some more fall treats - pumpkins, mums and pansies. For our anniversary my parents said they were getting us two Burning Bushes for our front yard, so we picked those out. And as they did for Leah, Memaw and Hippa purchased a tree for Max - a beautiful Maple. We are anxious for its arrival! It was the perfect family weekend enjoying all-things-fall!
