Ask and You Shall Receive!

I was taking Max to the doctor Saturday morning.  For several weeks, Max has started to not eat.  A week earlier I had Max to the doctor and she thought that he had an upset stomach from a steroid he had taken a few weeks ago for wheezing.  She put him on Zantac and said to give it two weeks.  After one week, I still didn't have a good feeling about it, so back we were to the doctor.  We saw the nurse practitioner who suspected one thing - poop.  Sure enough, an X-ray of Max's belly shows he is backed ALL the way up - we have a lot of dirty diapers in our future!  Let's hope that Miralax will do the trick and we can take care of this without another trip to the doctor's office!
Max's first good meal in a few weeks - pizza at Dewey's, later followed by Graeter's
But anyways, back to the point of the story - while we were on our way to the doctor's office, Max was on the phone with Hippa.  After we got off the phone I told Max that when we got home a friend of ours, Cathy, would be there to play with him (I had to take Leah to a party and Pat had to work).  Max said, "No, I want to play with Hippa."  He said it very firmly and seriously.  I told my dad and sure enough, a few hours later guess who showed up?
One very happy Max, and one very happy Hippa!
I SO wish I had the camera with me - instead we were FaceTiming with Memaw for the reaction.  But Max ran straight to Hippa with a huge hug - it was perfect.  Hippa has been very worried about Max not eating, so it was good that Max finally ate entire meals while Hippa was in town.

Thanks Hippa!
Where did Hippa go?

Snapshot Sunday (a day late)

Enjoy!
Noah has figured out how to open drawers

Max found Leah's old ruby red sparkle shoes that she literally wore every night for about two years - he LOVES them!

And Leah now wears 'high heels'

Leah gave herself a make-over

Spiked fever led us to believe something was up - a midnight dose of Motrin with a bottle to keep him hydrated

We were right - 3rd ear infection since Xmas - time for tubes
Leah went to Pump It Up for a birthday party

My Valentines

I had a fun time planning some little Valentine treats for Leah, Max and Noah.  Each night while they were sleeping, I taped a heart to their door.  Leah had fun counting her hearts each morning.  The boys, eh.  Maybe next year :)

Leah is having a Valentine Party at school today.  I signed up for cupcakes.  I could have cheated and bought them at Kroger, but that takes the fun away.  I had hoped Leah and I would make them together, but she was more interested in something else (I think she was dancing?)  So Pat helped me out at the end with the 'assembly' part.  I knew the kids would be getting tons of stuff at their party, so I thought I would make the cupcakes easily transportable if the kids wanted to take them home (ok - I'm a math geek, so I'm not even sure if that is a proper phrase - oh well)

Yet another idea I saw on Pinterest

Leah did help out with one part (and daddy did, too)

And since I was making cupcakes, I thought I would make some extras for Max to take to Suzy's house for all the little ones.  Max made Suzy the cutest little Valentine - and I forgot to take a picture - darn!  But she loved it!

And since I had the mixer out and all the baking ingredients, why not make a cake?

Leah, Max and Noah woke up to some Valentine goodies.

Pat treats his girls well with some flowers :)

Noah and I had a date day - to the ENT - where we learned that Noah will be getting tubes in his ears in about two weeks.  But I think the 'pink stuff' is starting to kick in this afternoon and Noah seems to be a happy little guy again.

Yay for the pink stuff!
Hope you had a great Valentine's Day!

Snapshot Sunday

It was a great week!
Making some Valentine 'goodies'

My current favorite picture!

Leah wanted to 'dress up' for school
First time eating at Chick Fil A!

Back to the doctor for Max - has not had a meal in nearly two weeks.  Doctor thinks he stomach lining is irritated from a steroid he was on two weeks ago - so he is now taking Zantac to heal the lining.  Hopefully he will be eating better soon!  And the doctor thinks he has 'other' allergies, so Max will now take Zyrtec daily.

Slumber Party!  These two were a hoot to listen to for about 30 minutes!  Lots of laughing, running, jumping, flashlight war and more giggling!

And they were finally worn out!

Leah and her best friend Austin (and Austin's sister Emma).  Leah was invited to Austin's home to make Valentines for school
Max, what is on your mouth?
Let me see!
Oreos!  Max will not eat a meal, yet if you give him an Oreo, he gobbles it up!
Leah spent the morning finishing up her Valentines for school

It's a moustache!

Another picture of Noah in his high chair

This boy just loves to eat

Ate mostly table food this weekend....very little interest in the mushy stuff!

This is Noah waving his arms in excitement as he eats!
