Day 8 - Friday - Our last day here!
We woke up to thunder on our last day here...what a bummer. So we enjoyed being lazy and 'tried' to pack some things. Leah had colored an entire coloring book and asked for a new one...so we ventured out to get her a new book, and a new movie for the car, and decided to have lunch while we were out. We discovered a Hard Rock Cafe and decided to eat there. It was yummy!

When we got home it was still cloudy, but it was dry and we headed to the beach for a final time for the week. Leah, Max and Pat took a really long walk down the beach and came back with some shells. We had just commented that we had not seen any shells this week - the sand is so fine that there are just not any on our beach! But it was another 'red flag' day meaning bigger waves and riptides, so the kids now have a collection of shells to bring home. Tonight, Leah and Pat went back out to bag up some sand to go with their shells to make jars when we get home. Noah finally felt comfortable to get up close to the water today!
After the beach and dinner, Leah wanted to do 'projects.' Both Leah and Max brought along a craft from their birthday parties. So Pat and the kids made cars and necklaces while I finished up some laundry and packed. And on a side note...I vacuumed the condo twice tonight...just don't have a picture to show for it! :-)

We have had a fantastic week here and know we will be back again...who knows...maybe next year?
